In line with UK pension legislation, we are legally required to automatically enrol eligible workers into a workplace pension scheme. This is part of your right to a workplace pension. For more information, please see the official guidance: https://www.gov.uk/workplace-pensions.
What is a NIN (National Insurance Number) and why do I need it?▼
A NIN is a personal number used for tax and work. It is required for legal employment and tax payments in the UK. Make sure to provide your NIN to your employer, Pro-Force. To apply, use this link: https://www.gov.uk/apply-national-insurance-number/how-to-apply.
What are the tax deductions on my payslip?▼
You are employed legally by Pro-Force, and your wages will be subject to statutory deductions including Income Tax, National Insurance contributions, and any other deductions we are required to make by law. The standard Personal Allowance is £12,570, which is the amount of income you do not have to pay tax on. To let HMRC know that you will not cross this amount during your 6-month Seasonal Worker Visa, please call HMRC on 0300 200 3300, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm.
What should I do if I am sick?▼
If you cannot attend work due to illness, you must inform your manager or supervisor. If you are absent from work due to illness for one full day or more, you may be entitled to Statutory Sick Pay (SSP). You must meet certain criteria to be eligible. You can self-certify for the first 7 days (please inform the office). After that, you need to visit a medical doctor and obtain a Statement of Fitness to Work (also known as a Fit Note), providing a copy to your coordinator. If you are entitled to SSP, you will receive £123.35 on your payslip for 7 days of sickness. You will not be charged for accommodation during your sickness.
What is the bonus and how do I earn it?▼
In agriculture, a bonus is typically based on a piece-rate system of payment. For example, if you are assigned a target that is expected to be completed within 6 hours and you achieve or exceed that target within the given time, any additional output or productivity beyond the set target may be rewarded as a bonus.
